Owner/Therapist - Troy Roehrs




Troy Roehrs, P.T., M.A., M.T.C., A.T.C., C.S.C.S. 
    - Physical Therapist

 

Troy Roehrs graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science in 1988.  He graduated with Distinction from University of Nebraska Medical Center’s Physical Therapy program in 1990, received his Master’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota in 1996, and received his certificate in manual therapy from the University of St. Augustine in 2001. 

Troy has specialized in the rehabilitation of spinal pathologies since 1993.  He has been an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 1989, is a member of North American Spine Society, and American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapist.  Troy has been a Certified Athletic Trainer through the National Athletic Training Association since 1989 and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association since 1992.

Tammy Roehrs - Owner/Therapist
Tammy Roehrs, P.T., M.A., N.C.S. 
    - Physical Therapist

Tammy Roehrs graduated in 1990 with Highest Distinction from the University of Nebraska Medical Center's physical therapy program, and completed her Masters degree in Kinesiology at the University of Minnesota in 1996. She was adult NDT trained in 1992, and earned her neurology clinical specialty (NCS) certification through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) in 2002. Tammy was an adjunct faculty member in the physical therapy program at the College of Saint Catherine in Minneapolis (1994-96) and is currently an Assistant Professor in the physical therapy program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

Tammy has been a member of The Heuga Center medical staff (a wellness program for individuals with MS) since 1992. She has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 1988 and a member of the Clinical Advisory Committee for the Midlands Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society since 1998.



Mandy Rohrig, P.T., D.P.T.
   - Physical Therapist

Mandy Rohrig graduated with high distinction from Nebraska Wesleyan University with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science and a minor in Spanish in 2003. She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2006 from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Mandy has been an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2003 and a member of the neurological physical therapy section of the association since 2007.

Mandy specializes in the rehabilitation of individuals with neurological diseases, with a special emphasis in treatment of individuals with Multiple Sclerosis.  She has received specialized training in the evaluation and treatment of vestibular and balance disorders.  Mandy has also been a staff member of CanDo MS (previously known as the Heuga Center for Multiple Sclerosis – a wellness program for individuals with Multiple Sclerosis) since 2006.

 

Don Ostdiek, P.T., D.P.T., OCS 
    - Physical Therapist
 

Don has been practicing physical therapy since 1998. He received his doctor of physical therapy from Creighton University and worked in the Chicago region before returning to Nebraska in 2000. Since then he has continued to work as an outpatient therapist and is a certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. Along with general orthopedic disorders, Don has developed a specialty in treating cervical spine disorders including headache, whiplash and TMJ. In 2009 he received his certification to perform the Niel Asher technique for frozen and difficult shoulder.  During his career, he has worked with patients of all ages and physical abilities including high school, college and professional athletes. He has also guest lectured for the Bellevue and Creighton athletic training programs.

Sue Ellis - Billing /Office Manager

Sue Ellis is an Omaha native and has been a member of the Horizon Spine team since 2001.  She has over 20 years of business experience and is available to answer any questions or concerns regarding billing and insurance.








Michelle Valdez, Receptionist- Omaha, 88th & Center Office

Michelle joined the Horizon Spine Rehabilitation team in April, 2009.  She is a native of San Antonio,Texas and moved her family to the Omaha area in the fall of 2008.  She brings over 15 years of customer service experience.  Michelle will cheerfully assist you with your scheduling needs.





Terry Paulsen, Receptionist- Blair Office 

Terry joined the Horizon Spine Rehabilitation team in September 2008 as our receptionist in our Blair office.  Terry brings 40 years of experience and is always here to assist you.











Shawna Stark, Receptionist- 90th & Dodge Office 

Shawna joined the Horizon Spine Rehabilitation team in October, 2009 as our receptionist at the 90th and Dodge location.  She and her family are natives to Omaha.  She brings over 20 years of customer service and business experience.  Shawna will be happy to assist you with your scheduling needs.
